How do you feel about the idea of travelling twice as far on your bike for the same effort? Or how about a weekend away without the need for a car? Long-distance commuting without breaking a sweat? All of these (and more) are becoming possible with the advent of the e-bike.
The Cairn E-Adventure 1.0 was born to help you achieve this. We've been listening to devoted riders like you, and thinking on how best make the most of this whole new way of riding. Having e-assist on a bike will enable all of us to explore more of the paths-less-travelled and make it easier for people to choose bike over car more often, which can only be a great thing.
We’re super grateful that so many of you have declared such strong interest so early on so we’d like to offer you the opportunity to put your name down for a bike with a fully refundable deposit of just £299 required. Full price of the bike is £2989 and next deliveries of the bikes will be in February Week 2.
Equipped with the renowned FAZUA motor, ability to run both 700C and 27.5"/650B wheels (with clearance for up to 700x45C [650Bx2.2"] tyres) and mounts for both mudguards and panniers, it makes it the bike that can do it all. Imagine covering twice the distance for the same effort, enabling you to explore more ground every time you set off.

With motor and battery (no pedals) - ±14.5kg (31.9lbs)

"The most interesting e-bike I rode in 2019, was an e-gravel bike from Cairn. Propelled by a Fazua pedal-assist powertrain in the downtube, it strikes the perfect balance of giving just enough support to make the climbs a bit easier without every feeling like you are being pulled along. Comparing this back to back with a standard gravel bike on the same on & off-road loop, my heartrate was always just as high riding the Cairn, just my speed up every climb was noticeably faster. While most dropbar e-bike setups are literally a drag any time you get above their 25km/h limiter, the Fazua-powered Cairn was just as comfortable and natural feeling while pedaling at 20km/hr as it was at 40."
"We caught up with the chaps from The Rider Firm at the Eurobike show. They’re the people behind Hunt bike wheels, but they were excited to show us something else they’ve been working on: a new gravel e-bike."
"Why am I so excited about this? Basically, there’s all the ingredients there for what I think is good about bikes. It’s for adventure, it’s for taking the long way round to work, it’s for doing the shopping, it’s for leaving the car behind, or just choosing the car less often.
With the Fazua e-assist system, it’s an e-bike, or it’s not. You can forget to charge it and still ride to work. You can ride to work every day without being worn out. You can ride to work every day and rip your legs off. It’s a do a load of everything bike, and that gets me excited."
